With a loyal following of admirers, Pismo’s talents were first embraced in Japan. It wouldn’t take long though for his skills to be showcased worldwide.
Pismo’s talents are truly limitless. Not only does he shine as an emcee and singer but his production skills have been sought after for all types of uses. And if that weren’t enough, he is an accomplished musician who plays multiple instruments.
He is one of the most charismatic exports from the United States to Japan. In fact, Pismo has been steadily building his fan base and his first official solo album “Within Transition,” had tremendous sales in Japan.
One could describe his musical style as a progressive mixture of organic sounds from his home state of California and a new wave of the variety of influences from his chosen home – New York City.
Because his music has garnered so much love from audiences, there have been many offers of features from Japanese producers such as: DJ Tonk, Nomak, Cradle Orchestra, Tsunenori, Re:plus and Kenichiro Nishihara.
Other offers abound for new projects, as each of his features lead to great sales. Pismo’s production work is prized as he creates music for movie soundtracks and commercials. Commercial clients include: Toyota, Macy’s, FedEx, and Time Warner to name a few.

Pismoは映画/コマーシャル/ゲーム等の音楽制作会社をしているPulse Musicに過去に所属した経験もあり、Zima、Chevy、MTV、Toyota、Macy’sなど 様々な大手クライエントの要望に応え楽曲を提供してきた。
クライアントの要望を見事に音楽で表現し、コマーシャル/映画等の映像, つまりプロダクトを際立たせるという才能、そして、それに対する努力を惜しまない態度が今までの大きなクライアントとの仕事を成功に結びつけてきている。

上記のような、サウンドトラック制作に限らず、Pismoはアーティスト／プロデューサーとして自身の音楽も追求し、日本で大人にも受け入れられているお洒落で心地よいJazz HipHopでシーンを騒がせ、「歌えるラッパー」と称されその抜群なセンスが大変高く評価されている。
またプロデューサーとしてもプロダクションのクオリティーがトップクラスであるとも称され、カリスマ的存在なアーティストでもあり、世界的に数々の名曲を残してきた HipHop 業界の豪腕クラブシーンのプロデューサーであるJay Deeの亡き後、次期カリスマとして最も期待され、徐々に日本でその人気を獲得してきた現在ニューヨーク在住のMC/プロデューサーでもあるPismo。
音質も暖かみのあるオーガニック・スタイルである出身地のカリフォルニアに在住していた過去には坂本龍一のプロジェクトにも参加した Shingo02 や ワールドワイドで活躍する DJ Tonk などの日本人アーティストと共に楽曲制作を経て、Jazz HipHopという言葉を飛び越えた彼のオリジナルな音が新たなジャンルを創り、２００６年には日本でもリリースされた自身のアルバム「Within Transition」が話題にもなった。
様々な日本人アーティストともコラボレーションを経て、記憶に新しいのはフジテレビで放映されたサムライチャンプルーというアニメのサントラを手掛けたりコムデギャルソンのパリでのファッションショーのサウンドディレクターを手掛けた Nujabes氏の 次世代のスーパー・プロデューサーとしても騒がれる旬のプロデューサーで坂本龍一氏のプロジェクトにも参加した Nomak氏のリミックスによる「Pismo – Velodrome ft.Shingo02」のアナログが話題となり完売、更にはNomak氏の1st アルバムである「Calm」はインディーでは脅威的なセールスを記録したヒットとなり、Pismoはそのアルバムに２曲がアルバムのメイン曲として扱われシングルカットにもなりアナログも即完売と一気に注目を集めました。
2009年には資生堂、SANYO、Fujitsu、LOREAL、ユニクロ、東京国際映画祭やパリコレクション、COACHなど様々なファッションショーでサウンドデザインやサウンドディレクターなどで活躍する Kenichiro Nishihara氏プロジェクトにも参加し話題を呼ぶ。
2010年1月にリリースされた Nishihara氏の２nd アルバムである「Life」にも参加。
更にはMedia Factoryの傘下のレーベルであるGoon Traxからre:plusやCradle Orcestraにもフィーチャーされている。
今年ユニバーサル・ジャパンから韓国人アイドルグループ「超新星」の楽曲にもPimsoの創作したメロディーが起用されるなど今後、最も期待されているアーティストの一人である。
